

When you’re ready, launch your meeting and choose the “ Record to Cloud” option to create your recording. In order to use the feature, you’ll want to check your account settings under the “ Recording” tab and make sure “audio transcript” is enabled. Your recordings will appear in the "My Recordings" section of the Zoom app.One of the great things about Zoom’s “Cloud Recording” option is the ability to create text-based transcriptions of your meetings. Do note that the transcript takes a little bit of time to generate, so it won't show up as quickly as the recording. This will create a transcript in the same location as your cloud recording. First ensure that cloud recording is enabled, and then make sure to check the "Audio transcript" checkbox. This is located within the "Cloud recording" section of the "Recording" tab in your account settings section. While it isn't perfect, the Zoom automatic transcription can provide a great resource to look back through when you inevitably ask the question, "what was it that we decided on at last week's meeting?". Note taking is an important part of a successful meeting culture - but with everything going on these days, it's sometimes hard to remember to also take notes during your meetings. Now it is built into Zoom directly in the settings for cloud recording. Previously, you would need to do this through otter.ai or any of the other tools that can join your call and transcribe, but you'd have to pay extra. Zoom has the ability to automatically transcribe your audio when you do a cloud recording.
